Stop Writing!

I know the title is quite disturbing, but I thought I’d post this for my father. You see, having an account at a social media website with my father, I can surely see what he says there. Unfortunately, he does not tell it to us, not even to me.

He wrote that he did not want to write anymore. That’s the reason I’m posting this. Hey, I know my father’s a great writer. It’s surprising to hear from him that he doesn’t want to write anymore. Well, if he does not write anymore, then I’m toast. One reason I get to blog was from him.

Let’s put it like this, writing is just like a journey through life. As people go through life, they think, they act, they read, they write, they take a rest. I can’t imagine life without some rest. But having some rest doesn’t mean stopping for good right?

I believe that most people act upon motivation. Motivation is like a battery to the enthusiasm of people. Like most batteries, Motivation usually gets empty. It’s either you change batteries, or charge it for sometime.

I guess what I’m saying is, it’s stupid to act on impulse, though most people nowadays do. Facing critics are what all people go through. Critics are there to critic. That’s their life. Chef’s cook, Engineers build,Dancers dance, and writers write.

Well, you can only really stop on what you’re doing when you’ve stopped on living. That is, When  you’re dead. So as long as You’re alive, don’t Stop!
Don’t Stop Writing!!

You’d better listen to the boy, Roy! Look what you’ve done – inspired him to write, too! Well done, Ralph. Well done.

Thanks, Tita Holly. Though I still think I need more improvements.

Of course you do, Ralph. And the day you don’t, you might as well just lay down and die. Perfection isn’t part of the human condition. Attain it, and no one will like you much. Strive for it, though, and we’ll all cheer you on. If you think you’ve managed to attain it in one area of your life, move on to another – where you still have things to learn and do and achieve.

@Roy: It’s strange how modern family evolves. Your son picked up something bothering you not from across the dinner table but from your Facebook update. He then wrote a candid reaction on it via a blog post. And then the father wrote a comment under it to reassure him all is well.

@Ralph: We read Roy’s assurance. We’d help you hold onto his promise. :)

thanks Tito Jan. I didn’t actually think you’d all read this. As long as that promise is kept, Everything is all right.

@Jan – I think it’s interesting, and in some ways quite positive. Some of us can say things in writing that we would never say, face to face. Sometimes, we’re willing to throw those things out into the universe – maybe someone or something will notice and give us a “sign.” Having MORE ways to communicate with each other is a good thing, provided we pay attention. ;)

Ooooh, shiny things…!

God Bless!

Sir Roy you ought to listen to what your child is saying. He do have a good point about writing. And wouldn’t it be nice to keep the like father, like son relationship? Haha. If you would stop writing at one point you would be like your son and he wouldn’t be like you. So don’t stop. :) btw ralph keep it up we can already see that you were as good as a writer like your father.
